In the midst of Kim Cattrall’s well-known dispute with Sarah Jessica Parker, Sex and the City superstar Jason Lewis has dramatically changed his mind about her.
As the attractive and compassionate waiter-turned-actor Smith Jerrod on the program, Lewis, 54, gained praise for his chemistry with love interest Samantha Jones, portrayed by Cattrall, 69.
But in 2018, Lewis staunchly supported Carrie Bradshaw’s character Parker, praising her as a “gracious lady” and criticizing Cattrall by saying, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
Lewis gushed over his co-star to a fan on Instagram eight years later, suggesting that his views had evolved.
In a video promoting his new partnership with Owl’s Brews that made multiple allusions to Smith and Samantha’s romance, one fan commented, “That Samantha call back was EVERYTHINGGGGG!” He is aware of his base.
“Smith was nothing without her,” Lewis retorted.
In the midst of Kim Cattrall’s well-known spat with Sarah Jessica Parker (shown in 2004 as Smith Jerrod), Sex and the City hero Jason Lewis has dramatically changed his mind about the actress.
As the attractive and compassionate waiter-turned-actor Smith Jerrod on the show, Lewis, 54, garnered praise for his relationship with Samantha Jones, played by Cattrall, 69; he was spotted with Cattrall in 2004.
One fan wrote, “In an alternate reality, Smith and Samantha made it; they were end game in my book,” which sent followers into a frenzy.
In Sex and the City, Lewis played a young waiter and aspiring actor who fell in love with Cattrall’s character, Jones, the main character.
After persuading him to alter his name from Jerry Jerrod to Smith, Samantha utilized her PR connections to get him a big modeling job that eventually led to a movie role.
After he helped Jones fight breast cancer, their relationship—which had begun as casual—became more serious.
The couple was still together and in love when the series concluded in 2004. But once Samantha relocated to Los Angeles, Jason played Smith once more in the 2008 film Sex and the City: The Movie, and the two characters split up.
Lewis made a comeback for the 2010 sequel Sex and the City 2, and it seemed that Samantha and Smith were still friendly when he asked her to accompany him to the premiere of his new action movie.
In 2018, the actor shocked SATC fans by saying of Cattrall, “Mmhmm…if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” Listen, I must admit that Sarah was always incredibly beautiful and a model professional, and I believe that people should remember their kindness and the gifts they received.
“And since I have nothing worthwhile to say, I’m going to stop there.”
But in 2018, Lewis fiercely supported Carrie Bradshaw actress Parker, praising her as a “gracious lady” and criticizing Cattrall by saying, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” (seen together in 2009).
Lewis gushed over his co-star to a fan on Instagram eight years later, suggesting that his views had evolved. A fan commented, “That Samantha call back was EVERYTHINGGGGG!” He is aware of his base.”Smith was nothing without her,” Lewis retorted.
He responded when asked if that meant he was on “team Sarah.” “Yeah, what a gracious lady,” I might have to say. She was always so kind to me.
Lewis declared in 2021 that he will not participate in…And exactly like that.
The actor claimed he was asked if he had been asked to rejoin the HBO franchise in an interview with the Daily Front Row.
The celebrity declared, “I have not, but I would be the last to know.””As much as I appreciate the flattery, the conversation is about the girls,” he continued. Later this spring, filming on the revival is scheduled to start.
According to reports, Cattrall received $1 million to temporarily extend her role as PR tycoon Jones for a 70-second cameo in the AJLT season two finale.
Only after speaking with Casey Bloys, the chairman and CEO of HBO Max, directly did she agree.
Long after the show’s 2004 end, rumors about infighting and envy on the set of the popular HBO series have been going around for years.
Lewis’s character on Sex and the City was a young waiter and budding actress who fell in love with Cattrall’s portrayal of the show’s protagonist, Jones (seen in Sex and the City 2 in 2008).
“I don’t know what her issue is, I never have,” the actress said after telling Piers Morgan in 2017 that Parker “could have been nicer” to her during their time on the Sex and the City TV series and two later films.
In February 2018, after the Divorce actress expressed public sympathy for Cattrall’s brother’s passing, the Big Trouble in Little China star attacked Parker.
“When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?” my mother asked me today. At the moment, Cattrall posted on Instagram.
I want to be really clear about this. You are not my family, if I haven’t stated so already. I’m not friends with you. She ended the brutal takedown by saying, “I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your “good girl” persona.”
