JACOB Rees-Mogg and his children have been subjected to a barrage of vile abuse outside their home.
Video footage shows protestors holding a large banner as a man shouts at the Tory MP’s young children.
“Your daddy is a totally horrible person,” he yells.
The angry protestor then goes on to launch a tirade against the children’s nanny as she emerges from the family home to defend her employer.
He demands: “Do you have an independent life of your own? What about your family?”
“Lots of people don’t like your daddy, do you know that?”
Rees-Mong looks stunned and wishes the protestors a good evening as a tirade of insults are thrown his way.
But the irate protestor is not giving up in his outburst at the Conservative backbencher’s children.
He adds: “Lots of people don’t like your daddy, do you know that?
“Lots of people hate him! You know the nanny that looks after you? Daddy doesn’t pay her very much.
“Daddy says her minimum wage doesn’t count for anything.
“Poor nanny who looks after you and wipes your bottom every week, she doesn’t get enough money.
“Daddy doesn’t care, because he’s too busy posing as Latin-eating toff, which he does pretty well.”
The startling footage has caused a huge stir after it was posted on social media by protest group “Class War”.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid has tweeted in support of the Tory MP and his family, branding the protest “absolutely disgraceful”.
Tory MEP Daniel Hannan also tweeted his support: “A leftist mob ambushes Mogg on his doorstep, shouting at his young children ‘your daddy’s a totally horrible person, lots of people hate your daddy’.
“What is happening to this country, for the love of God?”
The group’s banner allegedly bore the words “we must devastate the avenues where the wealthy live”.
Former Labour Cabinet minister Yvette Cooper tweeted: “Leave the kids out of it.
“Don’t care what your views are on Jacob Rees-Mogg, it is disgraceful to target his family, and shameful when politics becomes personal abuse.
“Children and family are never fair game.”
Fellow Labour MP David Lammy posted: “There is no justification for intimidating children and family members of politicians like this.
“This isn’t the first time I’ve had to say this in relation to Jacob’s family either. We are better than this.”
And Tory MP Anna Soubry added: “Disgraceful behaviour. More evidence of how low our politics have sunk.”
