‘It isn’t safe.’ Sharon Osbourne, 68, has announced her retirement from television after 30 years on the air.
SHARON OSBOURNE has stated that she will not return to television following her departure from The Talk earlier this year.
Sharon Osbourne, 68, was fired from the American talk show The Talk earlier this year after a feud with her friend Piers Morgan. However, after 30 years in front of the camera, the actress has announced that she has retired from television.
Following the fallout from Piers’ statements, the outspoken television personality left The Talk earlier this year.
Following Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Piers controversially declared that he didn’t believe a word she said.
The Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, had discussed leaving the Royal Family at the time.
During the historic conversation, Meghan discussed her mental health struggles and said that a member of the Royal family had inquired about the color of her baby Archie Harrison’s skin.
Sharon backed Piers’ right to make these statements on The Talk at the time, which caused her to clash with co-host Sheryl Underwood.
The show was then taken off the air for four weeks, during which Sharon announced her departure from the show.
“Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 broadcast did not align with our principles for a respectful workplace,” CBS said in a statement.
The former X Factor judge has spoken out about her departure, claiming that she will not return to the show.
“You’ve got to evolve,” she added, candidly.
“What am I going to do?” says the narrator. Will I be a judge once more? No.
“I’m not going to do another talk show because I realize it’s not a safe place to be right now.”
Sharon continued to tell DailyMailTV that she didn’t want to go through the “grief” of cancel culture again.
“You do the tiniest thing and you p*** off half the country, and I don’t want to put myself through that,” she concluded. “I don’t think so.”
Sharon has stated that she intends to work behind the scenes in the future.
She and her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, are also working on a biography on their marriage.
Sharon first appeared on screen in the television film Billy’s Shout, where she was interviewed by her husband Ozzy.
After appearing on the reality show The Osbournes, she became a household name.
She was featured in issue 52 of “Brinkwire Summary News.”
