Inside the extremely alone existence of David Walliams: Housebound, rejected by publishers, accused of harassment, and now in a desperate search for love. Friends disclose his lonely lifestyle and dating habits

David Walliams used to be almost always spotted with a pretty woman on his arm.

Actress Patsy Kensit, Spice Girl Geri Horner, model Lisa Snowdon, reality TV personality Ashley James, model Lauren Budd, and Miss Norway contestant Sylvia Flote were just a few examples of the attractive, prosperous, and well-known people who were formerly friends.

Naturally, the most well-known of his previous partners was the Dutch supermodel Lara Stone, to whom he was married for five years.

However, the Daily Mail can reveal that Walliams has struggled to find love and is presently searching for love on the celebrity dating app Raya after being dismissed by his publishers last year and accused of harassment and “inappropriate behaviour,” all of which he vehemently denies.

Walliams has used pictures of himself looking dapper in a cream tuxedo, which he previously wore at the Mediterrane Film Festival last year, to illustrate his dating profile, according to images obtained by the Daily Mail.

He even added a photo of himself and his co-creator of Little Britain, Matt Lucas, as two of their most well-known characters, Lou and Andy. This was probably done in case anyone was unsure if the David Walliams they were seeing was the real deal.

Walliams has opted to leave his profile nearly completely blank, only disclosing his location as London and connecting it to his official Instagram account, while users of Raya, an exclusive dating site that can only be joined by invitation and is primarily composed of high-profile individuals or celebrities, have the option to add a biography to further draw attention.

Walliams illustrated his dating profile on Raya with pictures of himself wearing a cream tuxedo, which he also wore during the Mediterrane Film Festival (shown).

Walliams’ profile on Raya, a private dating site that requires an invitation to join. He has opted to leave his page nearly completely empty, only stating that he is in London and connecting it to his official Instagram account.

Despite the perception that Raya is more exclusive than dating apps like Tinder or Hinge, Walliams finds it somewhat embarrassing.

I’ve been informed that the 54-year-old, who was once the darling of every red carpet and after-party, is now incredibly lonely and lives in a condition of social exclusion. In 2019, he sold the mansion in Belsize Park where he resided with Stone and their 12-year-old son, Alfred.

He currently divides his time between a seafront home in Hove, which is thought to be at risk of coastal erosion, and a house in north London, where he is alone with his pet dogs, Bert and Ernie.

Walliams’s Raya profile demonstrated “just how the mighty fall,” according to a former colleague.

David used to be attractive to women. According to a former buddy, women thought he was amusing. Having a lovely woman on his arm was something he cherished. He made women laugh, they loved his company, and they swooned over him.

He was aware that his connections and notoriety enhanced his appeal. Women used to queue for him, but it’s obvious that he’s having trouble these days.

In fact, it seems like he has no social life these days. I’ve been informed that Walliams has been mostly confined to his home since his publishers, Harper Collins, fired him in December. Additionally, he has avoided social media, sharing only one picture of his mother Kathleen and co-star Matt on Mother’s Day.

In sharp contrast to the contentment ex-wife Lara Stone has experienced after their 2015 divorce, it’s a lonely life.

Ironically, Stone also used dating apps. In 2018, he met attractive real estate developer David Grievson on Tinder. After marrying him three years later, she now resides in a beautifully constructed Victorian home in Hampstead with her blended family, which includes toddler Bob, who was born in 2023, and Alfred, her son with Walliams.

In an interview with Vogue Australia, Grievson proudly demonstrated how he had created his wife a custom dressing room with an enormous area to keep her shoe collection. He also gave a guided tour of their colourful home, complete with splashes of colour and individually sourced treasures. He described them swimming together in the well-known ponds in the Heath, and the image was one of a warm, contented family.

There didn’t seem to be any of the emotional depth associated with Walliams, a man who is known for his sexual ambiguity and insecurity and whose amorous style seems to alternate between clumsy advances and obsession.

In fact, it turned out that many of his early relationships were not quite full-throated in their intensity, if not platonic.

He allegedly had an affair with Geri Horner in 2007, but years later, she acknowledged that she “loved him” even though he was “never more” than a friend.

He was candid about his intense feelings for singer Natalie Imbruglia, who he claimed “friend-zoned” him, much to his dismay. He also talked of being “heartbroken” by Lisa Snowdon, who maintained that they had never had a sexual relationship.

David Walliams, who was married to Dutch supermodel Lara Stone for five years, at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Walliams posted a photo of himself and his co-creator of Little Britain, Matt Lucas, as two of their most well-known characters, Lou and Andy, on his Raya profile.

Although not everyone agrees, we did go on a few dates. We’ve never shared a bed,” she remarked.

“When he said that seeing me naked was his proudest moment, it was a little strange.”

In a similar vein, lingerie model Lauren Budd, who dated Walliams for three months in 2009, claimed that their relationship never advanced past holding hands. On a vacation to New York, they parted ways and were supposed to share a bedroom.

He wed Lara Stone a year later, but this union ended in 2015 as well.

He was connected to Playboy bunny Emily Agnes in 2016. She informed her pals that he used a drawing of his transsexual character Emily Howard from Little Britain to court her.

In the same year, following a romantic evening in Soho, David was seen accompanying Norwegian actress Sylvia Flote to his chauffeur-driven vehicle.

Additionally, it is reported that he briefly dated makeup artist Lou Teasdale, who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent. Additionally, he expressed a wish to date Ashley Roberts of Pussycat Dolls when the Covid epidemic struck in 2020.

He’s renowned for being laid back. He has a ruthless sharpness, according to those who like him; even Stone described him as “mean, but in a good way” during the height of their romance.

His downfall turned out to be that sharpness. After video of him making derogatory remarks about a competitor two years prior surfaced, he was removed from Britain’s Got Talent in 2022. He called one participant a “c” and described another female as “like the slightly boring girl you meet in the pub that thinks you want to f them, but you don’t,” according to a transcript that was leaked.

He then sued Fremantle, the program’s creators, for violating privacy rules and misusing personal data.

Walliams was allegedly battling “active suicidal thoughts” as part of his case, according to High Court documents.

According to consultant psychiatrist Dr. Mark Collins, the transcript leak has “had a profound, severe and, at times, very worrying effect on his mental health,” with Walliams experiencing bad thoughts and difficulty sleeping.

Although Walliams won an apology from Fremantle and is thought to have made £5 million from the court case, his reputation and career have never fully recovered.

In fact, his previously hectic workload has decreased to a mere trickle, and his schedule seems to be filled with sporadic corporate speaking engagements.

The last time David Walliams appeared in public was in January of this year, when he arrived for a children’s reading event at London’s Hampstead Theatre looking dejected.

Lara Stone, the former spouse of Walliams, and David Grievson, a real estate developer. Three years after meeting on Tinder in 2018, the pair got married. They share a home with toddler Bob, who was born in 2023, and Alfred, her son with Walliams.

His most recent public appearance occurred in January of this year, when he was accompanied by a team member and appeared dejected when he arrived in London for a children’s reading session. According to my sources, he was “happy to be performing,” but he was also disappointed that the audience was much less than what he was accustomed to.

There was no outpouring of support from celebrity friends following the accusations of inappropriate behaviour at Harper Collins, where female employees were allegedly told to work in pairs near the author and not to visit his home.

Instead, there was relief in the entertainment industry, as some people at the time informed this publication that the TV star is “utterly despised.”

Regarding the allegations, a Walliams representative has stated that “David has never been informed of any allegations raised against him by Harper Collins.”

Nevertheless, due to poor ticket sales, the final dates for his one-man show, An Audience with David Walliams, which were scheduled to take place in March at the University of Exeter and Cadogan Hall in London, were cancelled. Additionally, he was fired from his positions as an ambassador and patron of several charities, including The Children’s Trust.

Even though he is no longer as attractive as he once was, Walliams must be fervently hoping that his Raya profile would work its magic.

David Walliams’s agents told the Daily Mail that he wasn’t on the site at the moment.
