In this terrifying video, a gunman fires a homemade “slam fire” shotgun at the front door of a gangland hit set in the “Wild West.”

THIS is the horrific moment a shooter opened fire on a residential street in a “wild west” style.

Leon Parkinson, 20, jumped off the back of a motorcycle and fired a handmade shotgun at Carl Eland’s residence.

Eland went out into the road wielding a length of wood and an air pistol as he blew the front door and then escaped on the bike.

No one was wounded in that event, but Eland, a convicted drug dealer, was slain in a hit-and-run that investigators believe was murder two months later.

Parkinson was sentenced to eight years and four months in prison after confessing to firearms offenses at Teesside Crown Court.

“The street became like the Wild West,” the judge added. No one died there because of the grace of God.” Parkinson arrived on the street in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, as a pillion passenger shortly after 9 p.m. on June 2, according to Teesside crown court.

He went back onto the bike and rode out of the street after firing two bullets with the double-barrelled slam gun, picking up the expended cartridges.

Eland went out of his front door with his two dogs and tossed a piece of wood at them as the bike did a U turn and they returned down the terraced street moments later.

Eland, 37, fled between automobiles as Parkinson approached with his rifle, according to prosecutor Emma Atkinson.

The event caused no injuries, however Eland, a father of four, was killed two months later when he was knocked off his bike while cycling through Middlesbrough.

His murder has been filed against two men.

Parkinson, of Middlesbrough, pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing a firearm, unlawfully possessing a firearm with the intent to cause violence, unlawfully possessing ammunition, and unlawfully possessing a class B narcotic.

Parkinson, who refused to tell authorities who was driving the motorcycle, understood the dangers of the position and the potential consequences of his actions, according to Michele Turner, a prosecutor.

She went on to say that he was after Eland because of previous “troubles” between them.

An improvised firearm, sometimes known as a pipe gun, is a slam gun.

They don’t have a trigger, instead relying on the insertion of a barrel into the main barrel attached to the butt.

The floating barrel is then inserted with a shotgun cartridge, which is abruptly yanked back, forcing the cartridge onto a firing pan.

The crude, home-made weapons, which originally appeared in the Philippines during WWII, are lethal, but they may also be dangerous to the user if they malfunction.

Parkinson was sentenced to prison on Monday by Judge Jonathan Carroll, who said: “This was clearly a planned attack – you knew what you were doing… Brinkwire News in a Nutshell
