In the midst of the continuing controversy involving him and Dianna Russini, Mike Vrabel was seen making a tense return to New England Patriots practice on Saturday.
In the most recent chapter of the story, which started back in April when they were seen holding hands at an adult-only resort in Arizona, images of Vrabel and a pregnant Russini boarding a boat together in Tennessee in June 2021 surfaced this week.
More images and videos that seem to demonstrate the opposite have surfaced after they vehemently denied allegations that they were having an affair. In 2020, more than six years ago, they were even seen looking intimate at a pub in New York.
Russini, who insisted she had done nothing wrong and refused to let the circumstance define her, resigned from her position as an NFL correspondent at The Athletic.
At a Patriots press conference, Vrabel made a simple promise to improve as a husband, father, and team head coach. Since then, he has started therapy.
In the midst of the controversy, the Patriots head coach has now returned to practice.

His homecoming coincides with the persistent accusations that he and Dianna Russini had an affair.

During punt-protection drills, Vrabel was observed physically demonstrating techniques to sixth-round draft pick Namdi Obiazor and yelling directions.
When video evidence of Vrabel and Russini arriving for their romantic boat trip—which is said to have happened just months before she gave birth to her first son—came to light on Thursday, the scandal surrounding them took a new turn.
In June 2021, while he was still coaching the Tennessee Titans and she was covering him for ESPN, Russini and Vrabel allegedly rented a boat for two or three hours.
A written corporate waiver examined by TMZ confirmed the claim made by a source with knowledge of the rental that Vrabel and Russini were the only individuals on board.
Then, video footage showing the couple strolling down a private rental company’s pier next to a lake in Putnam County, Tennessee, was obtained by The Daily Mail. Russini was walking a few paces ahead of Vrabel.
However, when Russini turns around to talk to Vrabel in the video, it is evident that she is pregnant. The two were dressed in shorts and T-shirts for a day on the water.
It was reported that Vrabel and Russini were reluctant to be photographed by fans that day. Additionally, TMZ claimed that she refused to have a picture taken with admirers, but he consented as long as it wasn’t shared online.
In August 2021, Russini gave birth to Mike, the first of two sons. According to TMZ, Russini did not name him after the current Patriots coach, but rather for her brother, Michael Russini.
Vrabel and Jen have been wed for more than 20 years, and they have two kids together.
In September 2020, Russini and husband Kevin Goldschmidt tied the knot in New Jersey.
The New York Post released pictures of the NFL insider and coach cuddling and lounging by the pool at an adult-only resort in Arizona in March, sparking rumours of an affair between the two.
Vrabel has now expressed regret for his “actions,” but he hasn’t explicitly acknowledged having an affair, despite the fact that both first denied having an affair.
During the NFL Draft in April, the married father of two grown sons took a brief leave of absence from the Patriots to receive family counselling.
Since then, The Post has released images of Vrabel and Russini having breakfast together at the aforementioned Arizona resort as well as additional images purportedly from March 2020 that show the two kissing at a bar in New York.
In September 2020, Russini tied the knot with Kevin Goldschmidt, an executive at Shake Shack.Since 1999, Vrabel and Jen have been wed.
Additionally, pictures of Vrabel and Russini at a casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, in January 2024 were released by the Daily Mail.
