In Kent, a horror crash has left four people dead and a boy struggling for his life.


A HORROR crash has left four adults, including two teenagers, dead and a 15-year-old fighting for his life in Kent.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene in the early hours of Sunday but four people – aged 18, 19, 25 and 44 – were declared dead at the scene. Kent Police said that a 15-year-old boy, who was taken to hospital in London with life-threatening injuries.

All of them had been riding in a bronze Toyota Hilux when it was involved in a collision Lenham Road in Headcorn.

Local publication Kent Messenger said the group were on their way to watch Tyson Fury fight Deontay Wilder when they crashed in “heavy fog”.

Family and friends of the victims visited the area this afternoon to pay their respects.

One man, who asked not to be named, said one of the men was his uncle and he found out first thing this morning what had happened

A full statement said: “Kent Police was called at 12.54am on Sunday 10 October 2021 following the collision in Lenham Road which involved a bronze Toyota Hi Lux.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and four people aged 18, 19, 25 and 44 years old, who were inside the vehicle, were declared deceased at the scene.

“Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is investigating the circumstances and officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has CCTV, mobile phone or dash camera footage should call SCIU on 01622 798538 quoting reference SM/LB/114/21.”

This evening up-and-coming Kent boxer Dennis McCann has paid tribute on social media to one of the dead men.

The undefeated bantamweight, who is promoted by Frank Warren, posted a photo of himself with John Cash.

It has the message “one of my best friends, my brother, love you cuz”.

Another person who appeared to know them wrote: “RIP Boys. Lost For Words.”

They went on to pay tribute to the boy who is currently in hospital fighting for his life.

They wrote: “Keep praying.

“Please god put your healing arms around him.”
