During the Giants’ defeat to the Padres on Tuesday, a ballwoman was humiliated when she fell while attempting to recover a foul ball.
In the second game of a three-game series, San Diego defeated San Francisco 10-5 in front of over 40,000 spectators at Oracle Park.
The Padres’ Jackson Merrill and Xander Bogaerts were outstanding, but a Giants employee momentarily stole the spotlight in the eighth inning.
The ball woman jogged out to retrieve a Jason Adam pitch that Bryce Eldridge had hit down the first-base line.
She stumbled and fell face-first into the ground after picking up the ball with her glove.
The Oracle Park audience shouted and praised the woman when she got back up while laughing.

This week, a Giants ballwoman was humiliated after she fell while attempting to recover a foul ball.
Oracle Park drew close to 40,000 spectators as San Diego defeated San Francisco 10–5.
For the Giants, who lost to the Padres again on Wednesday, it was a rare moment of delight on a challenging night.
The Padres won 5-1 after pinch-hitter Ty France hit a two-run triple in the seventh inning to put San Diego ahead for good.
Only three hits and thirteen strikeouts were recorded by the Giants, who have now dropped eight of their last nine games.
On Thursday night, the Padres will return to San Diego, where RHP Michael King (3-2, 2.95 ERA) will take on LHP Matthew Liberatore (1-1, 4.50) of St. Louis.
On Friday night, the Giants will host Pittsburgh.
