In a terrifying late-night knife attack in Essex, a devoted small dog protects his owner.
The brave actions of a dog that protected his owner by biting the leg of a guy during a knife attack have been praised.
When the incident occurred, Star, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Pitbull cross Jack Russell, was out for a late night walk with owner Amy Edmonson. At 11.30 p.m. on June 21, the 30-year-old and her pet dog from Southend, Essex, were walking near her block of flats when a man and a woman approached them asking for directions.
The man pushed Amy to the ground with a knife to her throat and demanded money when Amy turned to point them in the appropriate place.
Amy was worried that her nine-year-old kid would lose his mother during the experience until Star intervened.
“I let go of my dog’s leash, and she immediately leapt on him and began biting his leg,” she explained.
The young mother was taken aback by her “lovely little dog’s” actions and claimed that her dog “refused” to release go, allowing her to pull the man off her.
The thugs fled off when Amy persuaded the attacker to let her free if she commanded Star to stop biting the man. Amy was shaken.
“Star saved my life 100 percent,” Amy added.
“I was thinking to myself, I’m going to die, there’s no way I’m getting this jerk off of me.”
A man was evacuated to a London hospital after a stabbing in Kent.
“It was out of character for her; she’s typically the most affectionate little puppy who would lick somebody to death.
“I was astounded that she did what she did, but I am eternally thankful to her.
“That night, she got an extra large dinner and a lot of additional cuddles.”
