On Saturday night, boxing star Ray Ford lost to O’Shaquie Foster for the world super-featherweight title, sending him flying out of the ring.
Foster threw a one-two combination to the head and body in the first round of their grudge bout at Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas, before taking hold of Ford, who immediately turned around in an attempt to avoid a clinch.
However, his fierce foe threw the New Jersey fighter out of the ring and toward the ropes as he did so.
Before promoter Eddie Hearn attempted to assist him in getting back up, Ford, who had previously enjoyed a brief stint as the WBA featherweight champion, fell flat on his stomach.
He got back up fast and went back into the ring, where the referee spoke with both fighters before starting the bout again.
Despite seemingly throwing Ford out of the ring himself, Foster controversially managed to avoid receiving a point deduction from the official.

In his super-featherweight title defeat on Saturday, boxing great Ray Ford was ejected from the ring.
Ford (right) lost to fierce opponent O’Shaquie Foster (left) by a majority of decision points.
However, Foster won the WBC super-featherweight title by majority decision (118-110, 116-112, 114-114) after controlling the championship rounds of the fight, so that unexpected call ultimately proved to be meaningless.
In the middle of the fight, the 32-year-old was probably behind, but in the later phases, he showed off his greater experience and endurance.
The judges’ scorecards could only have one winner by the time the last bell rang.
In his fourth battle at 130 pounds, Ford seemed to be affected by the extra weight because he slowed down in the second half of the fight, giving Foster more time to gain momentum.
After winning, Foster got into a heated argument with pound-for-pound sensation Shakur Stevenson, who then joined him in the ring.
Stevenson, who is widely regarded as one of the world’s top five boxers, recently defeated WBO super-lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez to win a world title in his fourth weight class.
