In a cameo for Meghan Markle’s birthday video, Prince Harry has a celebrity acquaintance in stitches.
PRINCE Harry made a funny cameo in Meghan Markle’s 40th birthday video, which had one of his celebrity friends in stitches.
To commemorate her 40th birthday, the Duchess of Sussex has launched 40×40 on her Archewell website. She explained that it is a global movement that encourages individuals all across the world to donate 40 minutes of their time to help women return to work. Meghan also speaks with US actress Melissa McCarthy in the video, in which she chuckles at Melissa’s smart outfit and cup of tea, alluding to her royal ties.
But it was Harry who stole the show when he appeared unexpectedly at the end of the video.
He had the two women laughing out loud as he was seen outside the window juggling three balls.
Meghan looks to be sitting at a desk in the office of her Montecito home, which she shares with Harry and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
She also glances at a laptop, which is propped up on a stack of her children’s book The Bench, in the video.
Meghan has also requested 40 activists, sportsmen, artists, and world leaders to contribute 40 minutes of mentorship to women re-entering the workforce as part of her new project.
Singer Adele, poet Amanda Gorman, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and fashion designer Stella McCartney are among those who have pledged 40 minutes of their time to mentor a woman in their community.
Meghan said in a statement that now that she is 40, she has been focusing on the many things she is “grateful for.”
She was also impressed by the fact that “time” is “one of our finest and most crucial gifts,” particularly “time spent in service to others, knowing that it can contribute to enormous change.”
The Duchess also stated that tens of millions of women around the world had quit the workforce in the last two years, owing primarily to the pandemic.
However, many women remained in unpaid jobs like as caregivers, and she said that data shows that when the pandemic recovers, fewer women than males will return to work.
“I believe mentorship is one method to help women regain confidence and rebuild their economic strength, and for my birthday, I asked 40 friends, activists, and athletes to be my mentors,” Meghan stated.
