If Covid levels become “unacceptable,” Boris Johnson says he’ll “consider” reimposing limitations.
According to a Government Minister, BORIS JOHNSON may consider reimposing Covid limits if virus levels in the UK reach a “unacceptable level.”
In the event that coronavirus infections reach “unacceptable” proportions, the Solicitor General has warned that the Government minister will attempt to reimpose coronavirus limitations. Boris Johnson is preparing to hold a ‘Freedom Day’ on July 19, abolishing most health restrictions across England. Lucy Frazer has issued a warning. Chris Whitty, the Government’s Chief Medical Officer, has said that the UK is “not out of the woods” ahead of the easing.
“I believe the Health Secretary has been quite clear, as has the Prime Minister, that we will see infections rise,” Ms Frazer told Sky News.
“However, the limits are being lifted because of a vaccine program that will safeguard people in the event that infection rates rise.
“Of course, if we get to a point where it’s undesirable, we’ll have to impose more limits.
“Of course, the government will take that into consideration.”
Chris Whitty, the Government’s Chief Medical Officer, has warned that the epidemic in England is currently “doubling.”
“The number of cases is doubling. “The number of people going to the hospital is doubling, and the number of deaths is doubling,” he added.
“Over 2000 individuals are still in hospitals, and the number is rising.
“If we double from 2000 to 4000, 4000 to 8000, 8000, and so on, it doesn’t take many doublings before we’re dealing with very enormous numbers.”
“I don’t think we should overlook the likelihood that we might get into difficulty again fairly quickly,” the health expert continued.
“We are not out of the woods yet on this, but we are considerably better off as a result of the vaccine program, medications, and a lot of other things.
“However, this has a long way to go in the UK, and it has an even longer way to go globally.”
“If you look over what people have done, and in fact if you look at what people aim to do today, people have been extraordinarily adept at saying, ‘I may be a relatively low risk, but those around me are at high danger, and I’m going to.”Brinkwire Summary News,” Mr Whitty continued.
