‘Hopeless romantic’ on the lookout for a mysterious woman he met at a traffic light.
A “HOPELESS ROMANTIC” longs to be reunited with a mysterious BMW driver he met at a traffic light.
Martin Baker, 41, said he and the woman caught each other’s eye at a crossroads on Saturday before the lights turned green. He feels she is his Mrs Right and claims that their brief encounter has broken his heart.
“Let the lights go green for us and see what happens,” I’d want to tell her.
Martin was travelling through Grimsby, Lincolnshire, in his bright orange truck, picking up an order when he observed the “beautiful” woman in the bright blue BMW.
He felt she was lovely, describing her as a “girl next door,” he claimed.
Martin, who describes himself as a “old-school romantic,” said he’d like to see her again and thinks she’ll feel the same way.
“I would like to suggest to her, let the lights go green for us and see what happens,” he told Hull Live.
Martin admits that he hasn’t always been that sure of himself when it comes to dating.
He stated, “I would never just stroll up to a girl and ask her out.”
“The only time I did that was years ago, and she ended up being my girlfriend.
“When it comes to ladies, I’m not particularly confident; it’s difficult to tell if you’re saying the appropriate thing.
“In this case, I figured, why not?” Why not take a chance and put myself out there? I should take the chance because there’s a lovely woman smiling at me.
“I’d hate to let this opportunity pass without attempting to locate her. If I didn’t take the chance, I’d be sorry.
“I’d say she was in her early thirties. To me, age is only a number; it’s all about the connection.”
The Hull singleton said he enjoys going on activity dates such as walking and climbing, but he also enjoys a romantic lunch for two.
Martin, who works as a caregiver, believes that by putting himself out there, he will be reunited with the mystery woman, and that there may be something between them.
“I’m totally all for romance,” he remarked. I shocked my ex-girlfriend by filling the entire room with rose petals. That’s something I enjoy doing.”
