GOGGLEBOX fans were delighted as Lee and Jenny posed together announcing they would return to screens in two weeks.
The hilarious Channel 4 hit will return to our screens on September 11 after it went off air in May.
Fan-favourites Lee Riley and Jenny Newby reminded fans that that the hit show will be returning in only two weeks in a recent snap.
Alongside the photo of the pair smiling, the caption read: “We’re all smiles. Two weeks on Friday and our favourite duo are back.”
Fans were quick to comment, one wrote: “Can’t wait to see you both. Missed you.”
Another wrote: “So excited. My favourite duo on Gogglebox.”
A third posted: “Can’t wait to see you two on our screens again.”
The friends have become fan favourites since first appearing the long-running reality show in 2014.
In May, fans begged Jenny and Lee to get their own spin-off show, as many admitted they’re missing the hilarious pair on TV.
The best friends moved in together during lockdown to entertain Channel 4 viewers with their show reviews.
But fans were left devastated as they shared a poignant “farewell” photo from Lee’s caravan.
Jenny has moved back in with her partner, while Lee prepares to be reunited with his boyfriend Steve in Cyprus once lockdown is over.
Urging the pair to sign up for a new show, one fan said: “You two should have a show of your own.. soooo funny! Miss you x.”
Another added: “We think they should’ve just kept you all going through lockdown! Certainly going to miss your faces it makes my week”.
Show boss Tania Alexander previously confirmed it will be back on our screens in September.
Writing on Twitter, the boss said: “Huge THANK YOU for your kind messages re #Gogglebox and #CelebrityGogglebox.
“It really wasn’t easy getting this show to air every week during lockdown but ur support made it ALL worth it. Big shout out to the cast from both shows. AND my amazing team. See y’all on Sept 11th”
Fans can hopefully expect the return of series favourites Izzi and Ellie Warner, Pete and Sophie Sandiford and the Malone family.
So far, the show was able to air following strict adherence with social distancing guidelines.
Then after it came off air, Channel 4, aired episodes of Celebrity Gogglebox, featuring the likes of Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, Roman Kemp, and Stacey Solomon.
