GEMMA Collins has been tipped to star in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Towie star, 39, has been ranked among the bookies’ favourites to appear on the hugely popular BBC1 series.
It comes after Strictly bosses appeared poised to lift the reality star ban currently imposed on the telly show.
Bookmakers Coral have given the self-confessed diva odds of 4/5 to enter Strictly this year, with 16/1 to win the entire competition.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead says: “We think this is Gemma’s year for the Strictly dancefloor.
“She’s odds on to be dancing on our screens once more this autumn.”
Earlier this week, we told how fellow reality star Molly-Mae Hague is also tipped to be signing for the 2020 series of Strictly.
She has been given odds of 3/1 following her huge success on Love Island with boyfriend Tommy Fury last year.
Bosses have previously banned reality stars from taking part but have already relaxed the rules slightly in the past few series’.
In 2018, YouTuber Joe Sugg took part in the show and fellow vlogger Saffron Barker hit the Strictly dance floor last year.
But Gemma, who took part in ITV1’s Dancing On Ice in 2019, might have other ideas.
The glamorous star was famously snubbed by Strictly in 2017.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood said she would be “fun on the show, but it’s not very often that we have reality stars take to the ballroom”.
“He added: “We generally have people of a higher calibre than that.”
Gemma later told The Sun: “I find his comment funny. I’m not low rent, Craig. We’ve all got to start somewhere and it’s a shame to just knock someone out of giving them a chance because they don’t think I’m high calibre enough.
“Well I’m sorry I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth but I get 2.2m hits on social media. Where did he start? He was just a dancer and I was just a girl from Romford once.
“I’m not being funny, a couple more years who knows? I could be sitting drinking tea with Madonna.
“If anything, I’d probably bring a different audience to the BBC.”
The Sun has since revealed Gemma has considered getting revenge on Strictly Come Dancing by targeting a place on the US version, Dancing With The Stars.
She came to the attention of the US dance show after impressing US audiences with her appearance on the Netflix hit drama Orange is the New Black in 2018.
A source said: “Gemma would love to have another crack at the US. The Americans loved her when she made a cameo in Orange is the New Black and bookers on Dancing with the Stars have shown an interest.
“Gemma’s schedule is always jam-packed and it’s difficult for this year but the team in the US are keen to secure her for 2021.”
Phillip Schofield, Maya Jama and Katie Price are among the other stars tipped to join the Strictly 2020 line up.
