Gemma Collins has admitted she didn’t even know there were such a thing as bills before she left home aged 30.
She told fans: “I remember calling my father and saying, ‘What the hell is a water bill?’ Then the council tax, then the Sky, then the TV licence. I had the biggest shock of my life.”
Gemma, 39, was speaking on her BBC podcast when she made the shocking revelation.
She added: “I didn’t move out till I was 30 years old. I had it far too good at home.”
The GC has used her platform in the past to speak about several wacky things and enjoys sharing her views on certain conspiracy theories, including her belief that lizard people are real.
She said: “My theory is – and this is a little bit weird – I believe there are lizards living amongst us.
“If you are a lizard, get in touch with me. There’s been so many reports that there are different kids of species living in the UK and around the world – I want to meet you, I want to touch you, I want to smell you, I want to know more.”
She also thinks that they have managed to slip under the radar due to an alleged secret network of underground tunnels.
Collins added: “I’m not letting this tunnel life go. I need my own tunnels. Will we ever get to see these secret tunnels?”
Away from the podcast, Gemma is now thought to be a multi-millionaire.
Gemma has a reported net worth of £2.7million and landed her own show Gemma Collins: Diva Forever, which first aired in August 2019.
She shot to fame in 2011 after landing a major role on The Only Way Is Essex in the second series.
Despite starting out as a car salesperson, Gemma’s popularity on the show allowed her to launch her own clothing line and boutique shop in Brentwood.
The GC’s fashion range specialises in plus size fashion and is also available to buy online from her website.
