Despite his party’s “war on motorists,” a Green council member triumphantly shared video of himself driving a Lamborghini just days after winning the election.
Alongside footage of him winning his seat in Bolton, Greater Manchester’s Halliwell ward last week, the video featured Mohammad Baghdadi Khan driving the gas-guzzling supercar.
The clip, which features the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, which can cost up to £270,000, seems to have been shot during a wedding in 2023 when guests were transported to the location by a fleet of supercars.
Additionally, he shared video of himself driving what appeared to be his standard vehicle—a Mercedes with customised license plates—during his campaign.
He declared that he will be “standing up for the people, the community, fighting for what’s right” if elected.
Mr. Khan, also known as Baggy Khan, pledged to support taxes for “billionaires not workers” and work for “greener spaces” in his campaign promises, which were also uploaded online.
Considering his party’s transportation policies, many called his decision to show off his cars a “absolute joke” and “hypocrisy.”
“Absolute joke a local councillor driving a car like that,” said one TikTok user.

It looks like the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder film was shot in 2023 during a wedding.
In response, 25-year-old councillor Baggy Khan quipped, “Who said councillors can’t drive cars like this?”
The Greens’ announcement that they will extend 20 mph zones in populated areas and reduce motorway and dual carriageway speed restrictions by 15 mph has incited outrage.
In order to get automobiles off the road, they would also “steadily reduce” parking places and “incrementally” boost driving fees.
Zack Polanski, the leader of the Green Party, was accused by the Conservatives of waging a “war on drivers” and of wanting to “make driving slower, more expensive, and, in many cases, impossible.”
However, the Greens defended the proposals, claiming that their “evidence-based measures” will lower traffic accidents and save drivers money on gasoline.
“On major roads outside of built-up areas, the maximum speed limit allowed would be 55mph, to maximise the efficiency of fuel use as well as improving safety,” the Green Party’s official transport policy said last month.
If Mr. Polanski’s party were in power, they would intentionally implement a travel “demand management” program, with the main goal being to lower “speeds and volume of motorised traffic.”
In the municipal elections last week, Mohammad Baghdadi Khan was elected to the Halliwell, Bolton, seat.
The strategy also states that “road fuel tax is an important factor in encouraging users to be more mileage conscious and to opt for smaller, more fuel efficient cars.” The Green Party would gradually raise the road gasoline tax.
Richard Holden, the shadow transport secretary, said the measures would be a “green light for madness” and accused Mr. Polanski of being “out of touch” with the population.
“This will drive up costs for working families and bring the country to a standstill,” he declared. “Only the Conservatives will stand up for drivers, protect your freedom to move, and keep Britain moving” is utterly disconnected from modern society.
Yesterday, a request for comment was made to the Greens.
