At a magnificent ceremony on Saturday at Briars Hall Country Club in Lancashire, Heartbeat star Tricia Penrose seemed to take a jab at her ex-husband Mark Simpkin as she walked down the aisle for the second time.
The 56-year-old actress posted a number of romantic photos to X, posing with her new husband Chris Hargreaves, whom she referred to as the “love of her life.”
Tricia, who as barmaid Gina Bellamy in the ITV serial opera from 1993 until 2010, looked stunning in a white lace bridal gown with a full princess skirt, fitted bodice, and Bardot neckline.
While groom Chris wore a light green suit, boots, a pristine white shirt, and a dark tie, she finished the ensemble with a veil.
“Married the love of my life yesterday” was the actress’ caption for the photo.
‘Did you say yes in a heartbeat?’: ‘Congratulations xxx’: ‘You look fantastic, congratulations to both of you’: ‘Congratulations to you both! I hope you two have many great years together.

After eighteen years of marriage, Tricia and her ex-husband Mark, with whom she has kids Jake, 22, and Freddy, 17, divorced.

Following a charming ceremony at Adlington Hall in Cheshire, the pair tied the knot in 2003.
In 2013, they renewed their vows, which the actress described as a “celebration” of ten years of marriage.
In 2001, the former couple met at the National Television Awards.
Before getting married in Cheshire and on a tropical honeymoon in Bermuda, they dated for three years.
In 2015, Mark said to Northern Life Magazine, “I know this sounds really tacky, but in addition to being my wife, Tricia is also my best friend.” We get along well as a team and don’t argue.
Tricia’s performance in Heartbeat propelled her to stardom. She also made appearances in the soap operas Brookside, Coronation Street, and Emmerdale, as well as the spin-off series The Royal.
The actress also competed on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, where she was eliminated in the semifinals, and Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.
