Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and if your one true love has forsaken your love sausage, you’re in luck with M&S’ Love Cucumber.
The supermarket has pulled off a world first with its heart-shaped cucumber that’s exclusively available in 94 of the chain’s biggest stores. It’s been specially grown in heart-shaped moulds so that you can present it to your beau in a box, or on a bed of lettuce, or sliced and tossed into a big ol’ glass of gin, going by the serving suggestion on M&S’ Twitter account.
You’ve heard of the Love Sausage and now it’s time to try our Love Cucumber! Actually heart-shaped and a world first, it’s been grown exclusively for M&S. The Love Cucumber is only in 94 of our biggest stores, so get it while you can! In-store today! pic.twitter.com/K7ovQwuA7B

It’s a bit of a different approach to last year’s Valentine’s Day-themed Love Sausage which inspired a copycat version from Asda this year.
“Our customers really get into the spirit on Valentine’s Day and love the innovative new products we bring out each year,” said Guy Grimshaw, M&S agronomist. “This year it’s not only about the famous Love Sausage… But the new Love Cue is sure to bring a smile to our customers faces. Slice it and add to a G&T and celebrate this Valentine’s Day in style.”
If you can’t find it in your local, there’s nothing stopping you from carving our a wedge from a regular cue (that’s what we’re calling them now), to create a DIY version that probably costs a lot less. [Metro]
