Following the passing of his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, Harry Styles has talked candidly about the “difficult” previous few years in which he “lost friends.”
During a recent performance in Amsterdam as part of his Together, Together tour, the 32-year-old singer opened up about the effects of his bereavement.
After falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Liam passed away in October 2024 at the age of 31. It was discovered that he had cocaine and alcohol in his system.
During a live performance, Harry discussed his recent years away from the spotlight, saying:Over the past few years, I’ve experienced both amazing and challenging experiences. I’ve also lost some friends. Having some time to let these significant events to occur has made me realize how fleeting, lovely, amazing, difficult, repulsive, and inspirational life can be.
“I hope being in this room together tonight, we can create some good energy together,” he said in closing.
Following the passing of his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, Harry Styles has talked candidly about the “difficult” last few years in which he “lost friends.”
Harry already discussed his feelings on Liam’s passing with DJ Zane Lowe.
“It’s so hard to lose a friend,” he remarked. Losing any friend is hard, but losing a buddy who is so similar to you in every way is even worse.
“I think there was a time after his death when I really struggled to acknowledge how strange it is to have people own part of your grief in a way.”
“I have such strong feelings around my friend passing away,” he continued. And then all of a sudden realizing that other people want to express that in some way, or that it indicates you’re not experiencing what you’re experiencing, you know?
“I saw someone with the kindest heart who just wanted to be great,” Harry said gently of Liam. In terms of looking at my life and being able to ask myself, “Okay, what do I want to do with my life? How do I want to live my life?” what transpired was a really significant moment for me. And I believe that living life to the fullest is the best way to honor your departed friends.
Harry and his fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, are apparently organizing a “small” intimate wedding in the UK this winter, which coincides with Harry’s current tour.
After an intense eight-month courtship, he is reportedly engaged to the 37-year-old actress. Zoë was spotted last month wearing a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger.

Previously, there were rumors that the couple was considering getting married in a lavish summer wedding in Paris or on the French Riviera, but it’s possible that they have now decided on the cold city of Blighty.
The couple is considering “a small wedding in front of just family and close friends in the UK around Christmas time,” according to Page Six.
“I know for a fact Zoë would want to do something in New York because of her dad Lenny, so if anything it’s going to be two weddings,” an insider told the tabloid. “Dad still lives in downtown [Manhattan.” The Fouquet’s Hotel might be the location. She would perform two weddings, one in New York and one in London.
Lenny, Zoe’s father, is an actor and musician who has won a Grammy.
Harry and Zoë’s reps were approached by The Daily Mail for comment.
