Megyn Kelly was criticized by “MAGA” members this week for claiming that Donald Trump “has cheated on every wife he’s had.”
Kelly, 55, made the audacious assertion on the Hodgetwins podcast on Friday after being questioned about Trump’s earlier remarks on former National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent.
In March, Kent resigned in opposition to the war in Iran, and that same month, Trump criticized him for getting married again “fairly quickly” following the death of his first wife, Shannon, in battle.
More than four years after being widowed, the former top counterterrorism official married Heather Kaiser Kent in August 2023.

Kelly claimed that the president, who had three marriages, was “proud of the affair” and the attention it garnered during the 1990s.
“If you think Trump has been faithful to Melania, that’s great: You’ve got bigger issues than I can solve here,” the former Trump fan remarked, shifting her focus from Ivana to Trump’s current wife, First Lady Melania, before receiving a barrage of negative remarks.

When Kelly parted with the president in February due to the conflict in Iran, people like Laura Loomer hastened to criticize her. “Megyn Kelly has always been an opportunistic snake,” far-right influencer Laura Loomer stated while resharing the video, labeling Kelly a “hooker.”
“Megyn Kelly follows the wind.” Author and professor Karen Piper of the University of Missouri said, “She now views Trump as a loser and wants to jump ship.” Conservative pundit Ben Hart remarked, “It’s just impossible to go lower than Megyn Kelly.”
The first lady was even urged by other right-leaning X accounts to “please sue Megyn Kelly for these egregious lies about Trump cheating on you.”
There is no proof that Trump cheated on her or Maples, his second wife.
Kelly and the White House have both been contacted by The Daily Mail for comment.
Together with other conservatives like Tucker Carlson, Kelly broke with the president in February over US operations against Iran.
For the same reasons, Trump’s top counterterrorism official at the time, Kent, resigned in March. He asserted that officials initiated this war because of pressure from Israel and lobbyists and that Iran did not constitute an immediate threat to the United States.

In the late 1980s, Trump strayed on his first wife, Ivana, with Maples. After the affair was made public in the media, their divorce was finalized in 1990.
Kelly was reacting to remarks made by Trump in the past regarding former counterterrorism head Joe Kent, whose wife Shannon Kent perished in a suicide bombing in Syria in January 2019. The two had two children together.
More than four years later, in August 2023, Kent wed Heather Kaiser, his second wife.
