The Flagstaff Police Department is searching for a man who pulled an 18-year-old woman into a wooded area and attempted to sexually assault her Monday.
Police said the woman reported she was attacked by the man about 8 p.m. in a neighborhood near Lake Mary Road south of the Interstates 10 and 40 interchange in Flagstaff.
After the man pulled the woman into the wooded area, he attempted to sexually assault her as she fought back, police said. The man eventually let the woman go as she continued to fight, police said.
The man is described as Native American, about 6 feet tall with a heavy body build and medium-length hair, police said. He was wearing large, squared prescription glasses and a black shirt and blue jeans.
