For almost forty years, she has been a mainstay on American television, dazzling in glitzy gowns on Wheel of Fortune.
When Vanna White, 69, showed up at the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic golf event in South Carolina last week, some observers were taken aback by her much more relaxed appearance.
White, who wed real estate entrepreneur John Donaldson in January, looked athletic in green trousers and a golf shirt while walking the fairway with her signature blond hair pulled back into a tight ponytail.
Cruel trolls opted to criticise the celebrity’s appearance when footage of her addressing the crowd at the event was posted to Instagram.
One cruelly said, “I can’t believe how much she aged.”She appears older than she actually is.
A second snorted, “I thought it was my grandmother coming back to life.”

White has enthralled viewers on Wheel of Fortune for over forty years. The TV personality frequently dons glitzy outfits.
A third said, “The veins, the hands, the neck, all look like a 90-year-old,” while others said the footage was so startling that it had to have been created by artificial intelligence.
But Wheel of Fortune viewers swiftly responded, standing up for White against the internet trolls.
One person said, “People are truly sick in the head,” while another said the small-screen star was “ageing so gracefully and beautifully.”
Another defender said, “I think she looks great.” “The skin is not stretched back behind her ears; there is no filler.” She is growing older and enjoying life.
She was called a “class act” and “gracious” by others.
In 2023, White extended her Wheel of Fortune contract, and later this year, she will be covered by a top-secret agreement. Whether she will stay on the show until 2027 is unknown.
Earlier this year, White married her long-time partner, John Donaldson. She was previously wed to George Santo Pietro, the proprietor of a restaurant.
Since December 1982, White has been involved with Wheel of Fortune.
She signed a new contract with the show back in 2023, when Ryan Seacrest came as co-host, and her contract was extended until this year.
Prior to receiving what was reportedly a sizable rise, White was earning $3 million a season.
The adored TV personality and her ex-husband, restaurant owner George Santo Pietro, whom she divorced in 2002, have two adult children: Giovanna, 28, and Nicholas, 31.
