Experts allege that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s haste to speak out is part of a strategy to make them “disappear.”
A royal critic has speculated that Prince Harry’s recent book deal could be part of his and Meghan Markle’s plan to make money and “disappear into Montecito.”
According to royal expert Joe Drake, the launch of Prince Harry’s biography could be part of a plan to “disappear” in the future. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have both given high-profile interviews and signed multi-million-pound deals with streaming companies, possibly in an attempt to have their say, make money, and then fade away from public view.
“I think the reason he’s doing this is because they’re like ‘let’s do the interview, let’s do the book, let’s get it all out there now, get our money, and if we decide to disappear into Montecito – we can,’” the royal analyst said of the book announcement.
He predicted that the memoir will be “an outrageously popular book” with a lot of buzz.
“As they said ‘Meg Gain,’ Meghan Markle is a hustler at the end of the day,” the Royally US presenter stated.
“I think that’s a terrific quality to have; those types of people aren’t content to sit back and relax.”
On Monday, Prince Harry revealed that his ‘intimate and passionate’ biography would be published by Penguin Random House and would be ready in late 2022.
“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become,” the Prince stated in a statement.
“Over the years, I’ve worn many hats, both physically and metaphorically, and my hope is that by sharing my experience — the highs and lows, the mistakes, and the lessons gained – I may illustrate that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
The book is expected to cover his youth, Princess Diana’s murder, his military career, and tours of Afghanistan, as well as provide a detailed look into Megxit’s past.
“Prince Harry will give an honest and captivating personal portrait, one that informs readers that behind all they believe they know lurks an incredible, courageous, and uplifting human story,” according to Penguin Random House.
The Royal Family was just recently informed that the Duke was in talks for a book deal when the book announcement was made.
