Espen Andersen Brthen, 37, was identified as the man who went on a shooting spree with a bow and arrow in the Norwegian town of Kongsberg.
Brthen killed five people after attacking them in a “act of terrorism,” according to authorities.
During the rampage in Kongsberg, four women and one male were killed, with a police officer among the injured.
“The incidents in Kongsberg appear to be an act of terrorism at the present,” PST, Norway’s security service, said in a statement. “However, the investigation, which is being lead by the South-East police district, will clarify in more detail what the incidents were motivated by.”
