Edo, Princess Beatrice’s husband, sends a heartfelt birthday card to his expectant wife.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the expectant royal’s husband, has sent her a heartfelt birthday message.
Today is Beatrice’s 33rd birthday, and she is expecting their first child together. Edo also rushed to Instagram to wish his wife a happy birthday.
“Happy Birthday, my love,” the multimillionaire property tycoon said. I adore you with all of my heart,” Edo wrote with a black-and-white photo of the two of them.
In less than an hour, the post received thousands of likes, including one from Kate’s brother James Middleton.
Last year, Beatrice and Edo, a descendant of Italian royalty, married in a covert lockdown ceremony.
After their planned ceremony was postponed due to the epidemic, they decided on a low-key wedding in Winsor last July.
The Queen was among the visitors to Royal Lodge’s Royal Chapel of All Saints.
“The couple decided to hold a small private ceremony with their parents and siblings following the postponement of their wedding in May,” Buckingham Palace said at the time. “Working within Government guidelines, the service was in keeping with the unique circumstances while enabling them to celebrate their wedding with their closest family.”
During a trip to Italy, Edo proposed to Beatrice.
Their families had known one other for years, and they reconnected at Princess Eugenie’s royal wedding in October 2018.
Beatrice and Edo are expecting their first child in the autumn.
In May, Buckingham Palace revealed Beatrice’s pregnancy, saying the pair was “overjoyed” to be expecting their first child.
The Queen has been told, and both families are overjoyed by the news, according to the palace.
Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s small son Wolfie is already Beatrice’s stepson from his previous relationship with ex-fiancee Dara Huang.
When the queen walked out with Edo for Wimbledon this month, she flaunted her growing baby belly.
Princess Eugenie, Beatrice’s younger sister, gave birth to her first child. Earlier this year, in August.
The sisters will be overjoyed to have their children so close in age and to share their first-time mothering experience.
