EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley writhes on new rug as she shows fans inside her stylish home

EASTENDERS star Lorraine Stanley flung herself down on her new rug as she gave fans a look inside her stylish home.

The 44-year-old Karen Taylor actress has a fancy pad that includes a barbecue zone – and her own bar.

The soap favourite, who appears on tonight’s EastEnders: Secrets From The Square, was just a little bit delighted with her new rug.

Wearing the flowing kaftan that got thrown in free with the purchase, she was shown throwing her arms out in wonder.

She then lay on it on her front, kicking her feet up before appearing to kiss it as she ran her fingers over its luxurious weaving.

Lorraine wrote: “When the rug you want arrives and they throw in a free kaftan !!!! Beside meself…Kiss my rug…”

It’s a perfectly quirky addition to the home, which also boasts the framed lyrics to Rapper’s Delight by Sugarhill Gang and a charming sign that reads: “Have a nice poo.”

Back in May, Lorraine revealed she had bought herself a bar, telling fans in real Peggy Mitchell style: “Get aaaaaat my pub!!”

The star’s makeshift Queen Vic leads onto her impressive garden, which has both pavement and green space – and a huge barbecue to boot.

Her kitchen – which has granite work surfaces and black hobs – leads onto the wooden dining room tables.

Lorraine first appeared in EastEnders as a young Mo Harris in 2004, before returning for eight episodes as pub landlady Thelma Bragg for a fleeting storyline in 2016.

She joined in her present role as Karen Taylor in 2017, alongside four of her character’s children – Keanu, Bernadette, Riley and Chatham.

Jessica Plummer’s Chantelle Atkins, Karen’s daughter with Mitch Baker, arrived in 2019.

The pair of them are appearing on tonight’s EastEnders: Secrets From The Square from 7.30pm on BBC One.
