Donny Osmond describes how his wife rescued him from a “desperate situation” while he was “crying my eyes out.”

DONNY OSMOND revealed how his wife Debbie “pulled him out” of a “desperate place” after he broke down and admitted to being lonely.

Donny Osmond rose to fame as a member of The Osmond Brothers and has performed all over the world for decades.

The popular band began as a barbershop quartet, with brothers Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay. After a successful solo career, Donny married his long-time partner Debbie in 1978.

Donny opened up about his beloved wife and how she helped him get through a “desperate” period in his life on Thursday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

The former teen heartthrob sat down with actor Drew for an interview about his tumultuous years in show business, which spanned 1979 to 1989.

“From a personal standpoint, I couldn’t be happier because I got married in ’78, I finally found the love of my life,” Donny began.

“I could talk about how she saved my life for the rest of the show.”

“It took about ten years for things to start kicking in again, because that’s when ‘Soldier Of Love’ came out in ’89.”

Meena Jutla’s exit from Emmerdale has been confirmed by the star.

The 64-year-old entertainer recalled a low point in his career.

“But I tried Broadway in a show called Little Johnny Jones, and we opened and closed on the same night, which hurts!” he explained.

“I couldn’t get a record deal,” the star joked.

Even getting arrested was out of the question for me.

“I mean, I wasn’t able to do anything.”

“Everything was gone,” he said.

During a concert in Hawaii, the stark reality of Donny’s loneliness was revealed.

“Thousands and thousands of people screaming,” he recalled.

“I went back to our condo, which we had at the time, and I found a little corner in there.”

“I rolled myself into a ball and sobbed uncontrollably.”

“When my brother, Jay, walks in, he notices me.

‘What’s wrong, Donny?’ I replied, ‘Jay, I’m lonely.’

‘All I want is to be alone.’

“‘Donny, 20,000 girls were just screaming your name,” he said.

“How could you be lonely?” I asked. “I’m not sure, but I’m lonely.”

“I was in such a desperate place that Debbie pulled me out of,” the teen idol said of his wife’s unwavering support.
