Denise van Outen, Saffron Barker and Charlotte Crosby join line-up for The Circle’s first celeb series

THE Circle gave us a sprinkling of stardust last year – but its celebrity version will really spoil us.

I can reveal that Channel 4 has signed up Denise van Outen for the reality TV game show, which is hosted by Emma Willis.

She’ll be joined by actress and presenter Nadia Sawalha, former Strictly competitor and YouTuber Saffron Barker and Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby.

And if that weren’t enough of a mixed bag, they’ve also signed up Baga Chipz, one of the breakout stars of BBC Three’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

In last year’s series DJ Zoe Ball’s son Woody Cook took part alongside celebrity guest Richard Madeley, who, presumably inspired by his famous wife, pretended to be a blonde woman called Judy.

A TV insider said: “The creators wanted to really mix things up for the first celeb-only version, and they really feel they’ve achieved that with these signings.

“It just goes to prove how the show has grown in popularity, particularly among younger viewers.”

The show is a spin-off of the “civilian” version of The Circle, which is set to return for a third series.

The celeb version will take place next year as part of C4’s Stand Up To Cancer charity campaign.

Both follow the same principle, in which the contestants live in a block of flats but are not allowed to meet.

They communicate and rate each other through a specially designed social media platform, which allows them to pretend to be anyone they like.

And with the overall aim of being as popular as possible, I reckon competition among them will be fierce.

PARIS Hilton pulled out of an interview on ITV’s Lorraine show today due to illness.

The socialite had been due to chat to Lorraine Kelly about her new YouTube documentary detailing her trauma and childhood.

Lorraine said ITV received a call late on the previous night, saying Paris was not well.

She added: “We obviously wish her well and hope she gets better soon.”

Lorraine said she still hopes to have Paris on her show to discuss her alleged bullying and abuse at boarding school.

In the documentary, Paris claims that staff at Provo Canyon School in Utah screamed in her face.

She said: “From the moment I woke up until I went to bed, it was  . . . continuous torture.”

CELEBRITY Juice has two new team captains – and host Keith Lemon would probably describe them as “a right pair of belters”.

Actress Emily Atack and presenter Laura Whitmore, pictured with Keith, will follow in the footsteps of previous captains Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby on ITV2’s comedy game show.

Emily said the role is her dream job, while Laura admitted she used to be an audience member when it first started.

I wonder what it was that attracted Keith to them both.

YOU might expect outrage the first time an erect willy was shown on British telly.

But when Channel 4 did just that on last week’s Me And My Penis, only 13 complained about the documentary to TV watchdog Ofcom.

It certainly shows a change in attitudes towards explicit male nudity.

In 2018, there were 44 complaints made when a willy was shown on TV in Chanel 5’s The Sex Business, in an episode about sex dolls.

I’m surprised 13 people could be bothered.

IT seems Caitlyn Jenner hasn’t been Keeping Up With The Kardashians – she only found out about the show ending on the news.

The former husband of Kris Jenner and parent of Kylie and Kendall claims she is not surprised that it is coming to a close.

Speaking on The Morning Show in Australia, she said: “The girls and Kris have done just an amazing job with the show and keeping it going for this long.

“But everybody is in a different place now and I think it’s time to move on. But what a run.”

ASHLEY Banjo is reminded of the biggest day of his life on Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent.

The Diversity star, standing in for Simon Cowell on the show, comes face to face with magician Damien O’Brien after they met on his wedding day.

He provided the entertainment at the after bash when Ashley married Francesca Abbott, a professional dancer and talent manager, in 2015.

But he wasn’t judging the competitors during the audition rounds back in May, when Damien first blew the panel away with his conjuring.

The sorcerer’s magic touch got him in the semi-finals, which were on ice due to Covid but resumed last weekend.

I have a feeling Ashley WON’T be pressing the big red button when Damien returns – or he might get a ticking off from his wife.
