‘DEFEATED former president!’ Joe Biden screams at Donald Trump during a speech on Capitol Hill.

In a fiery monologue, President Joe Biden erupted at Donald Trump during his speech commemorating the Capitol Hill riots, saying that his “bruised ego” mattered more than US democracy.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris joined forces to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Capitol Hill riots, with the current president refusing to hold back in his condemnation of Donald Trump.

Mr. Biden claimed that Mr. Trump had gathered a “violent mob” to protest the election results, and that Americans must protect democracy’s “fragility.”

During a passionate speech to the nation, however, Mr Biden became enraged at his predecessor for his role in the riots, accusing him of weaving a “web of lies” and prioritizing “power over principle.”

Mr Biden, speaking inside the halls of Congress, turned his attention to Mr Trump and slammed him for inciting violence.

“Here’s the truth, the former President of the United States has created and disseminated a web of lies about the 2020 election,” Mr Biden said in his speech.

“He’s done so because he values power over principle, and he considers his own interests to be more important than the interests of his country.”

“And because his shattered ego is more important to him than our democracy or constitution.

“He refuses to accept that he lost, despite the fact that 93 senators, his own attorney general, his own vice president, governors, and state officials from every battleground state have all stated that you lost.”

“That’s exactly what 81 million of you did when you voted for a new direction.

“No president in American history… has ever done [this], he has refused to accept election results.”

Later in his speech, Mr. Biden stated that the “rage-filled rioters” came to the US Capitol and “held a dagger at the throat of America and American democracy.”

They all came to serve “one man,” he said, and Mr Trump’s America was led by an “autocratic strongman.”

“He’s a defeated former president, defeated by over seven million of your votes in a free and fair election,” Mr Biden added.

In a fiery conclusion, Mr Biden stated that the United States was “in a battle for the soul of America” and that the riots “could not be further removed from the core of American values.”

In January, Mr. Trump was scheduled to give a press conference.
