Cheaters are finding it simpler to conceal their dubious behaviour from their partners due to the daily development of new technology and apps.
There are numerous ways for cheaters to avoid detection, such as hiding photos in a secret folder on their phone or removing information from photos to conceal their location.
However, renowned investigator Susan Trombetti claims that one particularly cunning strategy is becoming more popular: the notes app.
Trombetti spent years pursuing credit scammers during her work. She acknowledged that she “loved catching people and figuring it out” and that she yearned for the excitement of spotting lies.
As a “relationship investigator with experience in tracking, data analysis, and lying detection techniques,” she gained a formidable reputation after deciding to change her focus to find unfaithful partners.
She has now personally witnessed the lengths people will go to conceal their immoral behaviour.
She is no longer shocked by many things.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, Trombetti discussed the most recent cunning tactic used by cheaters to communicate with their hidden partners as well as the techniques she employs to apprehend them.
Investigator Susan Trombetti revealed the latest, especially cunning strategy used by unfaithful partners to conceal their adultery.
Cheaters can now conceal their dubious behaviour from their partners more easily than before.
Conversations are taking place via the iPhone notes app, Trombetti informed the Daily Mail.
She clarified that as many suspicious partners fail to check the notes app’s collaboration feature, cheaters utilise it instead of texting or direct messaging on social media.
“You can invite people to collaborate in real time on a note or on a folder of notes in iCloud, and everyone will see the latest changes,” states the Apple website.
Trombetti clarified, “People are using that to pass messages back and forth.” “People are cheating with that.”
“He and this woman put drafts in an email account because no one thought to look at that, but that’s how he was eventually caught cheating,” Trombetti said, referring to General David Petraeus, the former Director of the CIA who resigned after being discovered to have an affair with author Paula Broadwell in 2012.
What is the best way to expose a dishonest partner?
For her clientele, Trombetti has a few go-to techniques.
others are increasingly using their iPhone notes app to covertly interact with others outside of their relationship, Trombetti told the Daily Mail.
First, she stated that unless the metadata was removed, every iPhone photo should have the location where it was shot associated to it.
Simply swipe up on the picture or press the information button. A map containing the location and address information will show up beneath the picture if the metadata is associated.
She also described how easy it is to view someone’s recently erased text messages. All you need to do on an iPhone is launch the messaging app, press edit in the upper left corner, then choose “show recently deleted.”
Trombetti also advised examining the screen time split seen in your partner’s phone’s settings. According to her, this will display which apps they were using at what time, allowing you to look for any unusual activity.
Additionally, she suggested using the app Spokeo, which is a reverse search engine that locates all social media profiles associated with an email.
The Live Listen function on Apple’s AirPods is another strategy Trombetti has employed to apprehend unfaithful partners.
According to Apple’s website, “Live Listen can help you hear a conversation in a noisy area or even hear someone speaking across the room.” Your iPhone or iPad can function as a microphone that transmits sound to your AirPods or Beats.
According to Trombetti, you may utilise Live Listen on your phone while in the same room as your partner if you connect your Bluetooth headphones. Even from a different part of the house, you will be able to hear what they are saying.
She cautioned, “Just make sure your device is within Bluetooth distance.”
She clarified that since many spouses fail to check the notes app’s collaboration feature, cheaters utilise it instead of texting or direct messaging.
“Go to the Google Maps app [on their phone], select their profile photo and select timeline,” Trombetti added, explaining that if your spouse uses Google Maps, you may see their “timeline” and see where they have been. “It is also suspicious if they are turning off the phone location history and there are gaps in it. It has been around for years and is compatible with both Android and Apple smartphones.
She recommended “many visits to unfamiliar places and that sort of thing” as warning signs.
She continued, “You can also go to the Gmail app on their phone, select manage your Google account, select data and privacy, and look at YouTube history there as well.”
Finally, Trombetti described a method she said the FBI had employed.
She clarified that many Windows programs generate “temp files,” which people frequently neglect to remove while attempting to conceal anything from their significant other.
According to a previous article by technology giant Lenovo, “a temporary file is a file created by a computer program to store data temporarily while the program is running.” When you open a software application, it may create temporary files in order to work effectively. When you hit “save” while working on a document, for instance, your word processor may initially generate a temporary file to store your work in progress before saving the final version.
According to Trombetti, you can use these data to “restore” a computer even if it has been erased.
“With these temporary files, you can forensically restore a computer,” she clarified. “It’s not that difficult; it’s an FBI technique.”
Lenovo claims that your operating system and computer configuration determine where temporary files are located.
“But generally speaking, most operating systems have a specific folder where programs can store their temporary files,” the business continued. “On Windows machines, this folder is typically located at C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalTemp (replace “login” with your own username).”
