Crucial moments of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting are seen in new, much clearer footage, as the gunman hides a shotgun under his coat, rushes past guards, and exchanges gunfire.

The key moments when the alleged gunman ran past security after concealing a shotgun under his long coat are captured on new video taken inside the hotel hosting the White House Correspondents’ dinner.

The top prosecutor in Washington, DC, Jeanine Pirro posted a high-quality video of the incident to social media amid uncertainty over whether Cole Tomas Allen had actually fired his pistol before being taken into custody by Secret Service agents.

The video that Pirro posted seems to show Allen, a 31-year-old Californian, strolling through the Washington Hilton hotel just minutes before the shooting on April 25 while donning a long, dark coat.

About a dozen members of the Secret Service and security teams were waiting in the hallway when he was spotted going into a side room.

At the location, others were observed taking apart a metal detector.

Allen was briefly investigated by a security guard and a K9 team, but both departed after a short while.

At that moment, Allen, carrying what the prosecution claimed to be a 12-gauge shotgun, stormed out of the room without his long coat.

Many of the guards responded by drawing their own firearms as he ran past them.

A 12-gauge shotgun was carried into the hotel by the alleged shooter.

Just minutes before the shooting, Allen, 31, was spotted strolling inside the Washington Hilton hotel while sporting a long, dark coat.

The Daily Mail is presently unable to confirm the DoJ’s claim that the video showed Allen firing at a Secret Service agent, emphasising an apparent flash from his gun’s muzzle.

Additionally, the video appeared to show Allen sneaking around the hotel the night before the meal, seemingly in an attempt to scout the area.

He was observed strolling through the hotel’s hallways before entering the gym and taking a look around.

“We are releasing video already provided to US District Court showing Cole Allen shooting a US Secret Service officer during his attempt to assassinate the President at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” Pirro wrote in the social media post where she posted the video.

“There is no proof that friendly fire caused the shooting.” The day before the attack, Allen is seen in the video surveying the Hilton Hotel.

“To bring Cole Allen to justice, my office and the FBI will continue this thorough investigation.”

Prosecutors mentioned an officer firing five times in a brief submitted to the court on Wednesday, but they made no mention of the cop being shot.

Earlier, Sean Curran, the director of the US Secret Service, stated that Allen was taken down after tripping over a crate carrying a metal detector rather than being halted by his agency.

Curran reported that a Secret Service agent fired five shots, but none of them struck Allen.

On Monday, Allen was accused of trying to kill the US president.

Allen was arrested at the hotel as a consequence of the incident, which happened on Saturday, April 25.

In an interview with Fox News, he stated: “According to all the evidence I’ve seen, the suspect shot our officer with a shotgun at close range.”

Despite being wounded in the chest at close range with a shotgun, our officer bravely returned fire and managed to discharge five shots.

It appears that the suspect struck one of our magnetometer boxes with his knee while being confronted by the officer, causing him to collapse to the ground.

“That seems to be the case, and officers and agents were able to subdue him and pile on top of him at that precise moment.”

However, according to the Washington Post, the Secret Service agent fired all four of the shots.

Allen was charged on Monday with unlawfully discharging a firearm during violence, transporting firearms to commit a felony, and attempting to kill the US president.

Although he consented yesterday to stay in federal jail while his case moves forward, he has not yet entered a plea.

As gunfire erupted, Trump and other senior US officials were hurriedly evacuated from the Washington Hilton hotel.

At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, and other guests were removed from the stage on

On Thursday, US Attorney Jeanine Pirro made public hotel security footage showing Allen pointing a gun at a Secret Service officer in the Washington Hilton before to his arrest.

Cole Tomas Allen, the California man detained following the gun incident at the correspondents’ dinner in Washington, is shown in this courtroom sketch sitting in the center.

When asked if he would wear a bulletproof vest, Trump seemed uninterested, saying, “I don’t know if I can handle looking 20 pounds heavier.” I suppose you think about it. You dislike doing it in part because you’re caving in to a negative aspect of yourself.

Amid a pattern of political violence in the US, the event has rekindled worries about the security of the US president and other high-ranking individuals.
