COVID cases have risen dramatically across the country, with the United Kingdom reporting the largest spike since January 15, just ahead of ‘Freedom of Day.’

The UK registered 54,674 instances today, according to reports released this afternoon. The UK reported 55,761 cases on January 15 as a result of the delta variant’s fast surge. The number of cases in the UK has climbed quickly in recent weeks, with 32,367 cases registered last Sunday.

As a result, the UK’s seven-day average has increased to 32,170.9 as of July 7.

Between July 11 and July 17, the UK reported 300,302 positive cases, according to government estimates.

This represents a 40.6 percent gain over the previous week.

In terms of deaths, the United Kingdom has reported a total of 41 within 28 days of receiving a positive test result.

This marks a 47.9% gain from the week ending July 10th.

Hospitalizations have also increased across the country, with the UK recording 740 new admissions.

There have been 4,313 reports in the last seven days, an increase of 1,219 over the previous week and a 39.4 percent increase.

Experts have advocated for a postponement of the country’s ‘Freedom Day’ because to the mounting numbers.

Sajid Javid, the country’s Health Secretary, tested positive for Covid today.

Mr Javid claimed he had experienced slight symptoms from the infection, despite the fact that limitations on a variety of activities will be relaxed.

“I tested positive for Covid this morning,” he continued.

“I’m waiting for my PCR results, but thanks to my vaccinations, any symptoms are minor.”

“If you haven’t already done so, please come forward for your vaccine.”

Jeremy Hunt, a Tory MP and former Health Secretary, said today that if infection rates continue to climb, the government may need to tighten regulations.

“The danger light on the NHS dashboard is not glowing amber, it is flashing red,” he told Today.

“Every two weeks, the number of patients at the Covid hospital doubles. That implies we’ll have 10,000 Covid hospital patients by the end of August, a 20-fold increase over this time last year. This is a critical scenario.

“I believe that as September approaches, we will very probably see infections hit a new daily peak, surpassing the previous daily record of 68,000 set in January.

“If they continue to rise as the schools reopen, I.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
