A Dubai-based couple recently hosted a gender-reveal party on Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
The couple, Anas and Asala Marwah, uploaded a video of the event on YouTube on Tuesday with the title “The biggest gender reveal in the world.”
In the video, the couple can be seen making preparations for the big gender-reveal party for their second child. Toward the end of the 15-minute clip, the 163-story building can be seen completely lit up in blue and pink.
“My heart is beating, I feel it is going to pop out of my chest and I feel much more excited than my wedding day,” Asala tells in the video.
Following a countdown of 10, the building turns into blue with the message “It’s a boy!” projected on its facade.
The video has since gone viral on YouTube with over 15 million views. The video also garnered close to two million views on Instagram. The comments section was filled with congratulatory messages for the family.
“Soooo happppy for both of youuu,” one Instagram user wrote. “You guys deserve the best,” wrote another user.
“So happy for you guys. baby boy is going to be sooooooo loved,” another person wrote.
A video of the event was also posted on Burj Khalifa’s official Instagram page with the caption, “The big news just can’t get bigger than this as the world’s tallest building lights up to reveal the biggest gender reveal ever! Congratulations.”
In the video, Asala tells the viewers, “We wanted to do something unique and memorable so that we can all look at it in the future and remember what we built as a family.”
The couple started posting daily vlogs two years back and has over 7 million subscribers on YouTube. Cosmopolitan Middle East reported that the event cost $140,000, however, it was not clear if the event was sponsored or the couple paid for it.
The Burj Khalifa, with a total height of 2,716.5 feet, was inaugurated in 2010.
