BETHANY Platt (Lucy Fallon) played detective tonight to discover what Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) was hiding.
The Coronation Street cast member had been acting strangely lately and Bethany was afraid that the former addict was back on drugs.
Bethany saw him giving Sean’s homeless pal some cash, and then Billy handed him his phone number.
Worried for his health, the Coronation Street teen jumped in a cab and asked the driver to follow his car.
However, eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers noticed a major blunder in the storyline.
Some pointed out that taxi hadn’t been booked out beforehand and therefore it would be illegal.
“Bethany didn’t book that minicab in advance. It’s uninsured,” one noticed.
Another replied, saying: “That’s the first thing I thought.”

A third viewer added: “Big faux pas on @corrie @itvcorrie. It’s illegal to just jump into a private hire taxi without pre-booking. #nitpicking.”
An illegal cab was the least of Bethany’s worries as she discovered why Billy has been so shifty.
The vicar had actually been visiting Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton), the vile rapist who preyed upon Beth’s uncle David Platt (Jack P Shepherd).
Josh was hospitalised after being blinded by a man named Ethan, who attacked him thinking he would be Josh’s next victim.
Billy told Ethan about Josh’s ways, which led to the assault, and he felt guilty about his injuries.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
