Meghan and Harry’s budding romance, their hardships inside the Royal Family, and their choice to step down to embrace a new life as non-working members of the Firm were all chronicled in the first edition of the book, which was released in August 2020.

The first version of the biography was a big hit with the general public, earning it the distinction of New York Times bestseller within a month of its release.

Prior to the publication of Finding Freedom last year, a spokeswoman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated that the two royals “weren’t interviewed and didn’t contribute to it.”

“This book is based on the authors’ personal experiences as members of the royal press corps, as well as their own independent reporting,” he continued.

Meghan and Harry’s reps have stated ahead of the book’s release that the authors do not speak for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

After meeting on a blind date in the summer of 2016, Meghan and Prince Harry married in May 2018.

The Duchess of Sussex became a patron of four organizations during her time as a senior royal, including Smart Works and Mayhew, which she continued to support after she retired from full-time royal duties. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
