EMMERDALE’s all-female episode was certainly emotional last night.
The ITV soap hosted an all-female Emmerdale episode to celebrate International Women’s Day.
And emotions were high as there was joy and heartbreak for certain Emmerdale cast members.
Fans were devastated as Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) revealed she had a terminal illness.
However, there was also happiness for Chas (Lucy Pargeter) who revealed she was pregnant again after her traumatic stillbirth last year.
“I finally made myself do a test this morning… I’m pregnant”
Chas and partner Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) were devastated when they lost their daughter Gracie after she was diagnoses with bilateral agenesis – a condition that means that her daughter won’t survive outside of the womb.
However, the brunette revealed to Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) in Friday’s episode that she was expecting again.
She told her: “Thank you,” as Lauren probed: “What for?”
Chas replied: “Before she was born… you probably don’t remember, but you said I’d surprise myself and I’d feel strength when I least expected it.
“You were right and it’s a big surprise.”
As Laurel asked Chas what had happened, she said: “Well, I probably shouldn’t say, but hey, it didn’t make any difference last time, did it?
“I was late, I didn’t feel any sickness or anything so you know I just ignored it.
“But I finally made myself do a test this morning… it was positive, I’m pregnant.”
Laurel then hugged her as she exclaimed: “Oh Chas, that is wonderful.”
We can’t wait for the baby to arrive in the village.
Emmerdale continues on ITV on Monday at 7pm.
