Camilla’s adorable signed book giveaway sends royal fans into a frenzy.

With an adorable book giveaway, CAMILLA, Duchess of Cornwall, has sent royal fans into a frenzy of excitement.

The duchess left signed copies of several books in a community library near Birkhall, Aberdeenshire, close to her Scottish home, as part of her Reading Room project.

It is housed in an old telephone box, as are many rural libraries.

The duchess established Camilla’s Reading Room in 2020 to promote literature and reading during the coronavirus lockdowns.

In recent weeks, it has involved the “planting” of books in local phone box libraries.

Camilla showed up to donate to the library on this particular occasion.

It was originally purchased by her husband, Prince Charles, and moved three years ago to its current location on the B976.

Clarence House (@clarencehouse) shared a post on Twitter.

On Twitter, Rebecca English Royal Correspondent provided some background on the telephone box.

“Communities across the UK are converting their distinctive red telephone boxes into’micro libraries,'” she said.

“However, this one on Royal Deeside is unique.

“Three years ago, the Prince of Wales purchased the original Sir Giles Gilbert Scott designed kiosk and placed it on the B976!”

The Duchess of Devonshire also left signed copies of Charlie Mackesy’s The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse and Victoria Hislop’s The Island.

The official Clarence House account explained the context of the Duchesses’ visit on Instagram.

“The Reading Room has recently planted signed copies of our authors’ books in phonebox libraries across the UK,” they said.

“The Duchess of Cornwall stopped by this magnificent library near Their Royal Highnesses’ Scottish home, Birkhall, to add to the collection.
