CAMILLA, the Duchess of Cornwall, paid tribute to one of The Firm’s trendier members at the Cheltenham Races just days after Meghan abandoned British life for Canada.
It turns out that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Meghan Markle have a similar fashion sense when it comes to the colour green. Only two days after Meghan stepped down as a senior royal, Camilla took her DeMellier bag to Cheltenham Races and paired it with a long green coat. The Duchess – who has the same small leather handbag – was previously seen sporting it during wintery royal engagements.
Mireia Llusia-Lindh, founder of DeMellier, told PEOPLE: “We are incredibly honored that both the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cornwall like our Mini Venice bag.
“As a brand by women for women, we love how our handbags can appeal to different generations of strong women.”
The bag was first worn by Meghan during her third royal engagement back in 2018.
During a walkabout in Cardiff, Meghan clutched the sublime bag as she wowed crowds.
At one point she was embraced by a group of youngsters after Harry asked them “everyone give Meghan a group hug”.
On that day the former actress wore a pair of trousers by Welsh company The Hiut Denim Company was inundated with calls after people saw Meghan wearing the brand.
She also wore a long, black £1,350 Stella McCartney tie detail coat with peak lapels, a V-neckline and oversized waist tie, Express & Star reports.
The Duchess chose Tabitha Simmons Kiki Boots for the day and the £295 DeMellier Mini Venice handbag costing in green Forest Grain.
Meghan, who will officially step back as a senior royal at the end of the month, could adopt a more laid back fashion echoing her former life before marrying a prince.

Photos of Meghan show her wearing casual trousers suits, jean and t shirt ensembles and flowing boho summer dresses.
After the couple wed in May 2018, Meghan was idolised for bringing a crisper, more modern, fashion to the royals.
By comparison, her sister-in-law Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, is considered to align her wardrobe with the traditions of royalty.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cornwall is revered as a bit of a style icon herself.
Unlike the Queen and Kate who have a penchant for bright, bold colours, Camilla steers towards neutral, pastel tones.
