Brian Laundrie’s parents plan to bury his body without a funeral because the cause of death is unknown.

Because his autopsy results were inconclusive and his cause of death remains unknown, BRIAN Laundrie’s body will be cremated without a funeral.

According to Claudia Kelly-Bazan of Fox News, the Laundrie family’s attorney, Steven Bertolino, disclosed that the parents plan to cremate the remains rather than hold a funeral.

Laundrie’s body was discovered in the Carlton Reserve in Florida, near his parents’ home, more than a month after he went missing after informing his parents he was going for a hike in the area.

Chris and Roberta Laundrie, his parents, arrived at the scene to assist in the search, according to Bertolino.

Roberta and Chris are seen interacting with a police officer on a hiking trail in Myakkahatchee Creek in video footage captured by Fox News.

While much of the talk is inaudible, the officer appears to say “we’ve found something” and encourages the couple to return home at one point.

During the exchange, the officer places his hand on Chris Laundrie’s shoulder. After that, Roberta turns around to face him and wipes his cheek.

As the investigation continues, teams are anticipated to be on the ground for several days, and a no-fly zone has been established above the area.

On Thursday, dental data were used to identify Brian’s remains, which were described as “bones.”

In a statement, the FBI also confirmed the identify.

“A review of dental records indicated that the human remains located near the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie on October 21, 2021,” it stated.

“The FBI appreciates our allies’ invaluable investigative assistance.”

However, since autopsy results were inconclusive, officials are still looking for the 23-year-cause old’s of death.

On Friday, Bertolino told Insider that the remains would be sent to a forensic expert to be examined further.

It comes after Bertolino made the shocking announcement on Thursday that officials were considering charging Laundrie’s parents.

However, he added that he believes detectives backed down when he spoke with them about the allegations.

“I believe it was understood that charges were not suitable after questioning and contacts between myself and the FBI.”

“Several weeks ago, I had conversations with the FBI about specific allegations,” Bertolino stated.

Bertolino stated that no agreement was reached to offer Chris or Roberta Laundrie amnesty, and that the parents “have been collaborating with law enforcement, both locally and federally, since day one.”

Gabby Petito, 22, was found strangled to death in Wyoming on September 19. Laundrie was the only person of interest in her death.
