A 15-YEAR-OLD girl and 28-year-old woman have been arrested after a man was stabbed to death by a busy road in Birmingham.
The man was found dead by the side of the road with a stab wound to his chest, police say.
The unidentified victim was taken to hospital but pronounced dead just after 6pm yesterday.
A murder investigation has been launched.
West Midlands Police released a statement on Saturday night, saying: “We received a call at 4.55pm today reporting a man slumped near the junction of Bristol Road and Mill Pool Way, Bournbrook, with a stab wound to his chest.
“He was transferred to hospital but pronounced dead at around 6.15pm.
“A woman aged 28 and a 15-year-old girl were arrested at the scene and remain in police custody.”
The victim has not yet been identified.
Bristol Road has also been closed in order to preserve any potentially crucial evidence.
