Billie Eilish talks about meeting Royals at the premiere: ‘Didn’t make me feel scared.’
After meeting the Royal Family at a film premiere last month, BILLIE EILISH thinks they were “very normal.”
After recording the No Time To Die theme song, singer Billie Eilish met the Royal Family at the premiere of the latest James Bond film in London three weeks ago. And now, during an appearance on American TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Los Angeles-born star has spoken up about the experience.
At the star-studded event last month, the 19-year-old was photographed with Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
After meeting them during a celebrity line-up, the Bad Guy singer told the show’s host that they were “just so normal.”
They were “extremely pleasant and humorous,” according to Billie, and they asked a lot of questions throughout their brief encounter.
Billie was given a list of guidelines to follow when meeting with the senior royals, which she followed.
“Oh, absolutely,” Billie answered when asked about the restrictions. There was a long list of items.”
“Did you follow the rules?” says the narrator. Jimmy was the one who inquired. “I have a hunch you didn’t.” “I tried, and I was planning on it,” the singer answered. They seemed so ordinary. “They didn’t make me feel like, ‘Oh, I’m afraid, I can’t talk to them,'” says the author. They were quite complimentary, and they bombarded me with questions. They were simply charming, amusing, and lovely. “I can’t complain; it was fantastic,” the adolescent continued.
Billie was seen shaking hands with Kate Middleton, 39, who looked stunning in a gold gown and cloak at the occasion.
The music queen also spoke with her 39-year-old husband, Prince William.
Billie, dressed entirely in black for the occasion, was joined by her brother Finneas O’Connell, who co-wrote the award-winning song.
Later, the siblings were spotted conversing with Prince Charles, 72, and Camilla, 74.
