Biden wants Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York, to resign. Who is Andrew Cuomo?

ANDREW CUOMO is facing impeachment and even criminal prosecution as a result of the New York Governor’s devastating investigation into sexual misconduct. Andrew Cuomo, who is he?

Following considerable indignation, Joe Biden is now spearheading calls from both Democrats and Republicans for Governor Chris Christie to resign. Mr Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women, according to a report issued on Tuesday.

It shows the New York Governor touching, kissing, and hugging many women, as well as making inappropriate comments.

“I believe he should resign,” Mr Biden told reporters at the White House.

“I understand the state legislature is considering impeachment.

“I have no way of knowing for sure. I haven’t gone through all of the information.”

“I don’t know how anyone could have watched this morning and not find the allegations abhorrent,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters on Tuesday. “I surely did,” says the narrator.

“As always, I salute the ladies who come forward to speak their truth,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“I call on the Governor to resign, recognizing his love for New York and respect for the role he holds.”

“I’ll state the obvious: the summary you just gave indicates behavior that is unacceptable,” said Bill de Blasio, the mayor of New York City and a fellow Democrat but a longtime political rival of the governor.

“Unacceptable in anyone, let alone a government employee. I’ve made it pretty clear that what we’ve seen is disqualifying.”

Mr Cuomo denied acting inappropriately in a video response to the report and stated that he had no plans to quit.

“The realities are very different from what has been portrayed,” he stated.

Since 2011, Andrew Cuomo, 63, has served as the Democratic Governor of New York.

He was born in Queens, New York City, and has worked in politics his whole adult life, beginning as a campaign manager for his father, former Governor Mario Cuomo of New York.

He went on to become the federal housing secretary, state attorney general, and then governor of his own state.

Mr Cuomo was previously married to Kerry Kennedy, a member of the Kennedy political family in the United States, with whom he had three daughters. In 2003, they divorced.

He has long been popular among New York voters, having ushered in a series of significant progressive reforms for the state.

Legalizing homosexual marriage, strengthening gun control laws, boosting the minimum wage, and “Brinkwire Summary News” are among his proposals.
