Before the report is released, Congress is given a classified briefing – ‘Something is going on.’
US POLITICIANS were given a private briefing on the upcoming Pentagon UFO report only days before it was to be released.
On Wednesday, some members of Congress were briefed behind closed doors on a Pentagon report that had been anticipated. The report, which will include details from over 20 years of UFO encounters, is expected to be issued around June 25.
Republican Congressman Tim Burchett told TMZ just one day before the briefing, “Clearly, something is going on that we can’t handle.”
Former director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program Luis Elizondo stated last week that Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (the military’s term for UFOs) constituted a severe threat.
He cautioned the Washington Post in an interview that the phenomena might turn “nuclear capabilities on and off.”
“We’ve had incidences in this country where these UAPs have interfered and really took our nuclear capabilities offline,” he stated.
“We also have evidence that these things have interfered with nuclear equipment in other countries and actually turned them on, put them online.”
For over a month, experts have speculated on the contents of the upcoming report, but have warned that some sections of the document may remain classified for security and counterintelligence reasons.
For years, alleged footage of UFOs has circulated online, but US politicians have been split on whether or not to take the phenomenon seriously.
“We take the issue of unexplained aerial phenomena seriously to the extent that we’re dealing with the safety and security of US military personnel or the national security interests of the United States, so we want to know what we’re dealing with,” Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney told the New York Post.
“I believe it is critical to recognize that there are valid concerns about the safety and security of our workers, as well as the safety and security of our operations and sensitive activities, and we all know that there is a proliferation of technology out there.
“We need to gain a deeper understanding of the space.”
The objects could be modern military Chinese or Russian aircraft, according to one theory.
However, skeptics have pointed out that the things can travel in ways that contradict physics, implying that the solution is extraterrestrial.
Mr Burchett said the idea of UFOs being advanced was “crazy.” “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
