Before objects were ‘cleared,’ Prince Harry remained in his and Meghan’s former Frogmore chamber.
A source claims that Prince Harry slept in the bedroom he and Meghan Markle shared at Frogmore Cottage before Windsor servants removed out the remaining furnishings.
It is believed that employees have completed the removal of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s final items from their UK base. After stepping down from royal duties in March 2020, the couple relocated to California with their son Archie Harrison.
Following their relocation, the pair handed Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, Frogmore Cottage to use as a home while they awaited the arrival of their first child, August.
Meghan has not visited the UK in the previous year, but Harry paid two brief visits last month to attend Prince Philip’s funeral and the inauguration of a statue in Princess Diana’s honor.
During his brief visits, the Duke was said to have resided at Frogmore Cottage with his cousin Eugenie and her family.
However, according to the source, the Sussexes’ personal belongings have been evacuated from the Windsor residence.
“Staff from Windsor Castle were in Frogmore just days after Harry flew back to California after the statue unveiling,” the insider told the Sun.
“They went through his personal belongings, including framed pictures he had left in his and Meghan’s old bedroom.
“Harry had been segregated from Eugenie and her family at one end of the cottage.
“He stayed in his and Meghan’s former room, which had been mostly left untouched since he was last there.”
The couple’s things are likely to be shipped to their house in Santa Barbara.
