Backlash against Harry after Oprah’s interview gets him a ‘non-fiction’ award Despite ‘inaccuracies,’ Emmy nomination
After their interview with Oprah Winfrey was nominated for an Emmy award, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire.
For their shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been nominated for an Emmy Award. They were nominated for ‘Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series’ at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards for the interview. Royal author Robert Jobson, on the other hand, slammed the nomination, calling it a “shame.”
He stated that the interview should have been classified as “fiction” rather than “non-fiction,” because “much of it was not accurate.”
Mr Jobson told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Surpass: “I think you couldn’t really beat it for drama.”
“It had a significant influence overall.
“However, I believe you should remove the word ‘non-fiction’ from the nomination and replace it with the word ‘fiction,’ because the majority of it was inaccurate.”
“It’s a pity when the Archbishop of Canterbury fact-checks one of the issues, claiming he didn’t marry them before the wedding,” he continued.
“There were other things as well. I believe Oprah did herself a disservice.
“She should have questioned the statements rather than accepting them because some of the replies were shaky at best.”
Meghan’s claim that the Royal Family refused to grant Archie a title is among the numerous falsehoods from the interview.
However, it is widely assumed that their son Archie would not have become a prince until Prince Charles, Harry’s father, succeeds to the throne after the Queen’s death.
Meghan’s claim in the Oprah interview that she was “silenced” during her time in the Royal Family was criticized by Piers Morgan.
“This concept that Meghan Markle was hushed – Meghan Markle guest-edited British Vogue magazine during her silence,” he told Fox News. During her extended time of silence, Meghan Markle made 73 public events, many of which she spoke at.”
Other accusations that have aroused debate include the idea that they were financially cut off by the Royal Family after they opted to leave their positions as senior royals.
The Emmy winners will be announced on September 19 at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.
The winners of the couple’s nomination category, however, will not be shown, according to reports.
The Emmy Awards have a whopping 119 categories, with just a few of them being contested. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
