Avengers: Endgame set to function VERY totally different Captain Marvel – in response to set ‘leak’

CAPTAIN Marvel has been doing incredibly well at the box office – but she could be very different in Avengers: Endgame.

The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Captain Marvel, opened in cinemas last week and has been doing very well.

It’s reported that the film made a whopping $455million (£347m) in it’s opening week, beating a number of other MCU releases.

With a budget of $152m (£116m), it’s safe to say Captain Marvel has already been a success, in terms of money.

But, according to an apparent set leak from Avengers: Endgame, the character of Captain Marvel, or Carol Danvers, will be very different.

A Reddit user called ImLeaking took to the website with a series of spoilers for Avengers: Endgame – though none have been confirmed as legit just yet.

As well as revealing a number of deaths and resurrections, ImLeaking claims that producers made changes to Danvers.

According to the apparent leak, the movie opens with Danvers getting a distress call from Xandar before Thanos wiped out half of the universe’s population.

“Yes, the creative team decided to tone down Captain Marvel for this movie”

And despite being immensely powerful and potentially a massive help, Danvers apparently won’t interact with the Avengers until the “third act”.

She won’t even be at full power either, with ImLeaking writing: “Yes, the creative team decided to tone down Captain Marvel for this movie. So, Thanos extracted a good amount of her powers.”

They claim that some scenes that were originally written for Captain Marvel were re-filmed with other characters, such as Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

Of course, as with any anonymous leaks, it’s better to take things with a pinch of salt until the film is released.

Luckily, it’s now only weeks until Avengers: Endgame comes out, as it’s scheduled for an April release.

Until then, you can watch – or re-watch – Captain Marvel, as it’s out in cinemas now.

Avengers: Endgame is set for a UK release on April 25.
