At an official Balmoral ceremony, the Queen flashes a rosy smile as she prepares a special summer guest list.
THE QUEEN arrived at Balmoral Castle today dressed elegantly in a pink gown.
A brief ceremony was held outside the Castle gates to welcome Her Majesty to her Scottish abode.
She observed a Guard of Honour before meeting Shetland Pony Lance Corporal Cruachan IV, the Royal Regiment of Scotland’s mascot.
The Queen has spent the last month at the Aberdeenshire estate, where she customarily remains until early October.
However, it appears that she has other plans for the summer, as the ceremony today marks the beginning of her stay.
This will be her first summer vacation since Prince Philip passed away in April at the age of 99.
This summer, the Queen will also host other members of the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex, and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are all possible candidates.
“The family barbecues are back on the menu, even without Philip there for the first time,” a source told The Sun.
Sarah Ferguson, according to sources, may also have been invited to stay this summer.
“Sarah Ferguson is coming,” Richard Eden of the Mail Online claimed.
“She’ll be here with Andrew,” says the narrator.
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife was known to have a strained relationship with Prince Philip.
It’s unclear whether Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will accompany their parents to the event.
