As the duchess turns 40, Kate Middleton is “confident” that she now “understands how to use her profile.”

As the Duchess of Cambridge approaches a major birthday milestone, a source claims that Kate Middleton now “understands how to use her profile” as a senior member of the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who has spent over a decade as a senior member of the Firm, will turn 40 on January 9.

Kate has, however, been in her element in recent years, dazzled in a gold Jenny Packham gown at the premiere of the latest James Bond film No Time to Die and enthralled royal fans with her impressive piano performance during her carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

A source who has worked closely with the duchess for a decade told Vanity Fair’s royal editor, Katie Nicholl, that Kate feels a lot “more confident” in her role since joining the Firm.

“Ten years ago, we would never have seen Catherine sit down and play the piano in front of the cameras in Westminster Abbey.”

“She’d be too self-conscious and nervous.”

“She’s a lot more confident in her role now, and she really understands how to use her platform to bring attention to the causes she cares about.”

“That performance wasn’t about being the show’s star; it was about focusing attention on something near and dear to her heart.”

Due to the ongoing threat of the Omicron variant, Kate is reportedly planning a “low-key” birthday celebration this year.

According to sources, the duchess will instead “celebrate privately with her family.”

According to The Mirror, Kate will not be missing out because she and her husband Prince William are planning a joint 40th birthday celebration in June.

The Queen is expected to throw a party for her grandson for his 40th birthday later this year at Windsor Castle or Sandringham, according to the report.

Ingrid Seward, a royal expert, told the publication that she expects the Queen to help organize William’s party.

“The Queen enjoys such occasions tremendously, and this would be no different,” Ms Seward said.

“There’s a lot to look forward to in her Platinum Jubilee year, and with both William and Kate turning 40, there’s even more reason to rejoice.”

“This is a big one for the Cambridges, so it’ll take a while.”
