As she approaches her 40th birthday, Kate is ‘expected’ to surprise royal fans.

A royal expert predicts that Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, will delight royal fans this weekend.

Kate is gearing up for her 40th birthday celebrations on Sunday.

The Duchess of Cambridge, as in previous years, is expected to celebrate the day privately.

However, one royal expert believes Kate will publicly commemorate the occasion in a way that will delight royal watchers.

“Her 40th birthday is likely to be celebrated privately,” said royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams to This website.

“Because of the covid restrictions, it’s likely to be scaled back, and she reportedly didn’t want a big party anyway.”

“There will be a new photograph released.”

To commemorate important dates, senior members of the Royal Family usually release photos.

Kate and Prince William shared two new portraits of themselves taken at their London home last April to commemorate their tenth wedding anniversary.

Furthermore, they stunned the public by releasing a short film in which they were seen playing with their children George, Charlotte, and Louis near their Norfolk home.

In December, Kensington Palace issued a Christmas card featuring a photo of the Cambridges taken in Jordan during the family’s October vacation.

Kate did not publicly celebrate her 39th birthday in January 2021 by releasing a never-before-seen photograph.

Her last birthday fell in the midst of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s third national lockdown, which was imposed in late December 2020 to combat an outbreak of Covid infection.

Kensington Palace released a photo of Kate taken during a royal engagement on the Duchess’ birthday, along with a somber message of thanks, in light of the country’s worrying situation.

“Thank you for your thoughtful birthday greetings to The Duchess,” it said.

“Birthdays have been all over the place in recent months, and our thoughts remain with all those working on the front lines during this extremely difficult time.”

Another royal expert, Jonathan Sacerdoti, agrees with Mr Fitzwilliams that due to the high number of COVID-19 cases reported every day in the country, Kate is unlikely to host major birthday celebrations.

He told Us Weekly about the current Covid restrictions in England: “There’s no lockdown in place, but [there’s] some resistance to large gatherings.”

“It’s something that some people may not believe is the best thing to do.”
